All customers that are booking with the salon for the first time are expected to pay a non-refundable 50% upfront deposit to secure your booking. Your deposit will be deducted from the total price after the service has been completed.

When booking an appointment with Dawn’s Paws, you agree to our cancellation and no-show policy.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide at least 48 hours notice before your appointment. If you cancel, your deposit or 50% of the total groom cost is non-refundable. As a small business, deposits help us cover losses and costs when appointments are missed or cancelled at short notice. If you choose to reschedule 48 hours or more in advance, your deposit will be carried over to your new appointment. You’ll receive both a text and email confirmation when you book, along with a reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please note that all prices stated are STARTING FROM. Prices will be decided upon inspection, breed or size of the dog.

At Dawn’s paws, your dog’s comfort and wellbeing are always our top priority. Under the Animal Welfare Act (2006), it is an offense to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal — this includes any prolonged or painful dematting process. If your dog arrives with severe matting or matting in multiple areas, we are required by law to clip the coat short in a humane and gentle manner. Matting can lead to skin irritation, restricted movement, and other serious health concerns. In these situations, shaving the coat is the kindest and safest solution for your dog’s welfare. Because mat removal can be a lengthy process and can cause additional wear to our tools, a matting fee will apply. This fee will be discussed with you after assessing your dog’s coat condition. With regular grooming appointments and consistent coat care at home, matting can be easily prevented helping your dog stay happy, healthy, and comfortable.

At Dawn’s Paws, we are committed to keeping our salon clean, safe, and comfortable for all dogs. We do not knowingly accept dogs with fleas.

If fleas are discovered during your dog’s appointment, the groom may need to be stopped immediately to prevent the spread of fleas within the salon. A £15 cleaning fee will be added to cover the cost of the necessary flea treatment and sanitation products used to thoroughly disinfect the area.Please check your dog for fleas before your appointment. If you find any, simply contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. Providing at least 48 hours’ notice will help you avoid a cancellation charge.

At Dawn’s Paws, your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. To help us provide the best care possible, please let us know about any medical, physical, or emotional conditions, as well as any allergies, sensitivities, or behavioural concerns, before your appointment. This ensures we can tailor the grooming experience to your dog’s individual needs.For the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, we’re unfortunately unable to accept dogs that are pregnant or have contagious conditions.

If at any point during the appointment your dog becomes overly stressed or there’s a risk of injury to either your dog or the groomer, we may need to pause or stop the session. Our goal is always to keep every grooming experience safe, positive, and as comfortable as possible.Please make sure your dog has been to the toilet before arriving as a relaxed and comfortable dog will enjoy their groom more. Although we always work with great care and attention, accidents can occasionally happen.Grooming tools are sharp, and minor issues such as small nicks, scratches, or quickened nails can occur from time to time. We always handle every dog gently and do everything we can to prevent this.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency or serious injury , I (the owner) am able to provide canine first aid as necessary.
